A Beautiful Night

I listen to leaves rustling in the gentle breeze.
Stars are poised in the sky, sparkling to please.
Like a silver coin, the moon shines down…
Beaming softly over the sleeping town.
Hungry bats fly out to have their nightly feed.
An insect banquet awaits to satisfy their need.
Crickets chirp out their symphony in unison…
Romantically calling for their lovers to come.
Night blankets me with velvety darkness, my love…
While I whisper your sweet name to the heavens above.

I Wonder

I wonder how things will conclude…
If you have a change of mood,
And decide you don’t care for me.
Is our love transitory…
Or is it everlasting?
Are the stars forecasting,
Love that is enduring…
Or briefly alluring?

Goodnight

It’s late and it’s time for us to say goodnight…
Sleep well, beneath the soft glow of the stars and moon.
Pleasant dreams until tomorrow’s dawning light.
A new morning will be here soon…
And the cheerful sun will be shining bright,
Like an enormous, yellow balloon.

Priceless

It’s written in the heavens…
If you could only see.
The wise stars have decreed…
That our love was meant to be.
There’s no way to ignore,
Or avoid it this time around.
Lifetimes were passed in searching…
For this love we’ve finally found.
Any sacrifice our love demands…
Must be made, though we’re afraid.
This love is worth everything…
When its value is weighed.

One Day

We will be together…
One day I know we will.
Distance lies between us…
But, I hold you still.
I hold you in my heart.
That is where you’ll stay.
Though we are apart…
I will never stray,
From loving only you…
And waiting patiently,
For the stars to align…
And bring you back to me.

It’s strange how things occur, in time…
When all your stars suddenly align,
As your whole world gets rearranged…
And your life is forever changed,
Like mine has changed since I met you…
Gone is everything I once knew.
Nothing matters but here and now…
The past is over anyhow.
The future remains far away…
I’m thankful for you, in my today.

What’s The Chance?

Together

We were always meant to be…
Born to share our destiny.
Yes, it frightened me at first…
But, let the world unleash its worst.

Together, we can both achieve…
The impossible, if we believe.
Fortunate stars brought us here…
I can see everything so clear.

We are a much stronger force…
As we move along life’s course.
I waited, year after long year…
I knew, one day, you’d appear.

You’re my sun, shining your healing light…
My luminous moon, in darkest night…
A multitude of brilliant stars to me…
A universe of possibilities.

My love for you, deepens and grows…
It floods through me, and overflows.
How can you possibly be real?
There’s no end, to this love I feel.
